Lavender and Sunflowers in France

If you are planning a trip to France to see the lavender in bloom, be sure to go in July or early August, before the harvest starts.  It may be hot then, but it sure is worth seeing the fields in bloom.  We even took a balloon ride near Forqualquier,  and almost landed in a swimming pool! Of course, we had a very professional pilot, and he assured us he had planned it all.
