I love the challenge of crocheting wire. Here is a 14K gold filled wire crocheted flower with a freshwater black pearl. I just put it up on the storenvy site, in the crocheted section. Remember, if you like Lucky Sea Glass on facebook, you can get a code for 15% off. The gift is packed in a Tiffany blue and brown gift box. Enjoy! http://luckyseaglass.storenvy.com

Wire Crocheting Again
You know how much I love sea glass -- well crocheting wire is catching up! It is a challenge that I enjoy. Now, I have found the nontarnish silver wire works great -- 26 gauge is best. Here are a pair of earrings I made today -- with black crystals and freshwater pearls. These are so stunning for evening wear. They are in my online shop now.

More Crocheted Wire Jewelry
It is a challenge to crochet with wire, but I keep going back to it. Here are a pair of earrings and a bracelet made with gold brass nontarnish wire. I love how shiny and pretty they are. They are for sale at my online shop and on my website. The bracelet just sold -- but the earrings are still available ! http://www.storenvy.com/stores/94651-lucky-sea-glass-jewelry

Crocheting Jewelry With Wire
The wire crocheted jewelry I make is very popular, so I decided to try making some more with wire that doesn't tarnish and is less expensive. The crocheted bracelet takes a lot of wire, and if I use sterling silver or gold filled wire, it can run into a lot of money! So, I am experimenting with other wire that looks like silver and gold. Here are a pair of earrings I crocheted with red coral branches, and I made a sea glass pendant with corals and pearls that looks great with the earrings. I just put them on my online shop at storenvy. Please let me know what you think!

More About Crocheting Wire
| 14K gold filled wire crochet with natural turquoise by Lucky Sea Glass |
First, you need very thin, steel crochet hooks. I have a set of Boye hooks, that are 5/1.90MM and 10/1.30MM. I crochet sterling silver and 14K gold filled wire but that can be very expensive, as even the smallest pendant make take two or three feet of wire. The gauge should be 26 or even 28.

Crocheting Wire
I discovered crocheted silver wire jewelry several years ago in Greece, and had to learn how to do it. I have crocheted silver and gold filled wire to created some interesting earrings and pendant designs, and even a bracelet. I will share more about how to do it, but today I will just post a few pictures. More are on my website, if you are interested they are on sale until January 15 if the item number is below 250.
