I came across this recipe to remove tarnish, and thought it might be of help. I have used a commercial product and also tarnish remover cloths with my silver jewelry. Of course, gold filled jewelry doesn't tarnish!
Aluminum foil
1 TBS salt
1 TBS baking soda
hot water to make a paste
stir and dunk the silver in the solution. Wipe with the aluminum foil. There is a chemical reaction.
