Alaskan Sea Glass And Moonstones

I was on two cruises this past summer that went from Vancouver, Canada to Nome. They were expedition cruises so every day we were off to explore on Zodiacs! One day we went to an uninhabited island that had once been a fishing village for Norwegian families. They left when the fish moved on! While we scrambled along old paths and lumbered buildings overtaken by weeds and wildflowers, I decided to beachcomb by the shore. What a surprise-- there was a lot of colorful sea glass that probably was there for at least forty years.

Now, back home, I have created a few designs with my Alaskan Sea Glass. One I kept for myself, several sold recently to  fellow passengers,  but there are some on Etsy in my shop and more in the idea stage.

I found moonstones on another Alaskan island, too.
Amazing blue I found in Alaska with gold plated rollo chain
